Will a 12V charger charge a 36V lithium battery?
No, a 12V charger will not be able to charge a 36V lithium battery. The voltage output of the charger must match the voltage of the battery being charged, or it will not work and could potentially damage the battery or charger. A 36V lithium battery requires a charger specifically designed for that voltage.
Can I use a 40V battery on a 36V motor?
No, it is generally not recommended to use a 40V battery on a 36V motor. Motors are designed to run at specific voltages and using a higher voltage battery will likely damage the motor.

However, if you really want to use it, you can check that the controller you connect the motor to can handle the increased voltage (most can accept a slight overvoltage). If it is confirmed that the controller can handle it, then you are OK to use a 40V battery on a 36V motor.
Can you use 12 volt batteries in a 36 volt golf cart?
No, you cannot use 12 volt batteries directly in a 36 volt golf cart. But you can choose to use 3 KET 12v lithium batteries in series to get a 36v battery pack, and that can be used in a 36v golf cart.
What happens if you charge a 36V battery with a 48V charger?
No. When a battery is charged with a charger that has a higher voltage rating than the battery, it can cause the battery to overcharge, overheat, and potentially even explode. This is because the higher voltage can cause the battery's electrolyte to break down and release gas, leading to a buildup of pressure inside the battery.

Therefore, it's important to always use a charger that is specifically designed for the battery you are charging, with the same or a slightly lower voltage rating than the battery.
How long will a 36V 100AH battery last?
Here we answer from two angles: cycle life and single use time

1. Cycle life

The cycle life of 36V 100AH battery depends on several factors, including the battery chemistry, usage mode and operating conditions. But the general lithium-ion battery cycle life can reach more than 500 times (can be used for 3-5 years). The most outstanding performance is the LFP battery, the number of cycles can be more than 2000 times (can be used for more than 8 years)

2. Single use time

The amount of time a 36V 100AH battery can power a device or system depends on the power consumption of the device and the capacity of the battery. This means that it will be used for different lengths of time in different usage scenarios. To make it easier for you to understand, we illustrate here with a case study.

For example, if we assume a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 36V x 100AH = 3,600 watt-hours, and we discharge it to a depth of 50%, we can extract:

3,600 watt-hours x 50% = 1,800 watt-hours

This means that a device or system with a power consumption of 500 watts, such as the electric scooter example I provided earlier, can theoretically run for:

1,800 watt-hours / 500 watts = 3.6 hours

However, if we discharge the same battery to a depth of 80%, the available energy would be:

3,600 watt-hours x 80% = 2,880 watt-hours

In this case, the same device would theoretically run for:

2,880 watt-hours / 500 watts = 5.76 hours
Is 48v battery better than 36v?
In terms of overall performance, a 48v ebike battery is better than a 36v ebike battery.

Compared with 36V battery, 48V battery can provide more power to the motor (more speed, acceleration and hill climbing ability).

But in terms of cost, the 48V battery will cost a bit more than the 36v one.

So it depends on your personal needs as to which battery is better.
What voltage should a 36v lithium battery be charged at?
The answer to this question from many people online is "A 36V lithium-ion battery should typically be charged to a maximum voltage of 42V". But this answer is not particularly accurate.

To make this clear, there is a concept of nominal voltage and charging cutoff voltage. Two cases are listed below to illustrate:

1. A 36v battery pack consisting of 10 3.7V (nominal voltage of 3.7V for a single cell) cells (actually the nominal voltage is 37V, while 36V is a common name). In this case, the answer is the same as above, also 42V.
2. A 36V battery pack consisting of 11 3.2V (nominal voltage of 3.2v for a single cell) cells (actually the nominal voltage is 35.2v, while 36V is a common name). Here the individual cell cutoff voltage is 3.65V, so the battery pack voltage as of 3.65V * 11 = 40.15V. The answer in this case is the same as above, also 42V.

These are the two most common cases. Also need to add that some brands of cells will also exist nominal voltage and cut-off voltage difference, such as some brands of cells nominal voltage 2.5V and cut-off voltage 4.35V.
Can I replace a 36V battery with a 48v battery?
No. The higher voltage may damage the device's electronics and motor, leading to reduced performance or even complete failure. Although the controller on some devices has the ability to adjust the voltage (allowing slight voltage adjustment), it will not allow such a high range (48v-36v=12v) adjustment.

If it is our existing standard product, there is no moq requirement. For our existing standard products, there is no minimum order quantity (MOQ) requirement.
